How does your dachshund handle the snow?

My boyfriend and I have grown up in South Texas, but we're moving to Boston soon to pursue our careers after college grad. We have a dachshund, Odin, who's turning 3 this summer. Since he has only ever lived in the TX heat, I'm not sure how he'll handle the change from our mild winters to the New England snows.
